G Em G7 C Cm G
There are places I'll remember all my li--ife though some have changed,

        G Em G7 C Cm G
Some forever not for better, some have go--one and some remain.

            Em C F G
All these places had their moments, with lovers and friends I still can recall,

          Em A7 Cm G D
Some are dead and some are living, in my life I've loved them all.

        G Em G7 C Cm G
But of all these friends and lovers, there is no one compares with you,

           G Em G7 C Cm G
And these memories lose their meaning, when I think of love as something new.

          Em C F G
Though I know I'll never lose affection for people and things that went before,

   Em A7 Cm G D
I know I'll often stop and think about them, in my life I'll love you more.

“Hey Jude” is a song written by Paul McCartney, credited to Lennon/McCartney, and released as a single by The Beatles in 1968.
“Hey Jude” was the first single from The Beatles’ record label Apple Records. Over seven minutes in length, “Hey Jude” was at the time the longest single ever to top the British charts.[2] It also spent nine weeks as number one in the United States—the longest run at the top of the American charts for a Beatles single. The single has sold approximately eight million copies and is frequently included on professional lists of the all-time best songs, such as number eight on Rolling Stone‘s list of the 500 greatest songs.

“Hey Jude” begins with a verse-bridge structure based around McCartney’s vocal performance and piano accompaniment; further details are added as the song progresses to distinguish sections. After the fourth verse, the song shifts to a fade-out coda that lasts for more than four minutes.
Blowing In The Wind

[D] How many [G]roads must a [D]man walk down before they [G]call him a [A4 A]man? [D]How many [G]seas must a [D]white dove sail before she [C]sleeps in the [A4 A] sand? [D]How many [G]times must the [D]cannonballs fly before they’re [G]forever [A4]banned? The [G]answer, my [A]friend, is [D]blowing [F#]in the [Bm]wind. The [G]answer is [A]blowing in the [D]wind.

How many years must a mountain exist before it is washed to the sea? How many years can some people exist before they’re allowed to be free? How many times can a man turn his head, and pretend that he just doesn’t see? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind.

How many times must a man look up before he can see the sky? How many ears must one man have before he can hear people cry? How many deaths will it take ’til he knows that too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind.

“Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)” is a song by The Beatles which first appeared on the 1965 album Rubber Soul. While credited to Lennon/McCartney, it was primarily written by John Lennon, though Paul McCartney contributed to the middle eight section. It is notable as the first example of a rock band actually playing the sitar in one of their songs; it was played by George Harrison.[1] The song is a lilting acoustic ballad featuring Lennon’s lead vocal and signature Beatle harmonies in the middle eight.

“Norwegian Wood” was one of several songs on Rubber Soul in which the singer faces an antagonistic relationship with a woman. In direct contrast to earlier Beatles songs such as “She Loves You” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand“, the songs on Rubber Soul were considerably darker in their outlook towards romantic relationships.

The exotic instrumentation and oblique lyric represented one of the first indications to fans of the expanding musical vocabulary and experimental approach that the group was rapidly adopting. (Wikipedia)

Facts and playing tips

The confusing “Wood” – Obviously inspired by this song, Japanese writer Haruki Murakami wrote a popular novel “ノルウェイの森, Noruwei no Mori,” which literally means “the Norwegian forest.” But the song clearly means the material “wood” not “forest.” confusingly the novel title in turn translated into English as “Norwegian Wood,” same withe the song. I think this is either a misunderstanding of the Japanese writer, or a deliberate change to make the title of the novel more attactive in Japanese.

Yellow Submarine” is a 1966 song by The Beatles (credited to Lennon/McCartney), with lead vocals by Ringo Starr. Although it had previously been released on the Revolver album, it became the title song for the 1968 animated United Artists film, also called Yellow Submarine. It is also the title for the soundtrack album to the film, released as part of The Beatles’ music catalogue. (Wikipedia)

The song was better received in Britain than in the United States. The single went to number 1 on every major British chart, remained at number 1 for four weeks and charted for 13 weeks. It won an Ivor Novello Award for the highest certified sales of any single issued in the UK in 1966. However, it failed to reach number 1 on the American charts. A contributing factor may have been the “Bigger than Jesus” controversy.[2] (Wikipedia)

{title:Yellow Submarine}
{st:John Lennon/Paul McCartney}
In the [D]town where [C]I was [G]born
[Em]Lived a [Am]man who sailed the [D]sea.
And he told us [C]of his [G]life
[Em]In the [Am]land of subma[D]rines.

So we sailed up to the sun
‘Till we found the sea of green,
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine.

[G]We all live in a [D]yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, [G]yellow submarine.
[G]We all live in a [D]yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, [G]yellow submarine.

And our friends are all aboard,
Many more of them live next door,
And the band begins to play.

We all live in a yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine.
We all live in a yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine.

As we live a life of ease,
Everyone of us has all we need.
Sky of blue and sea of green
In our yellow submarine.

We all live in a yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine.
We all live in a yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine.
